Childcare Service with Cultural Activities Available
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture have launched the “Tokyo Children's Arts and Culture Platform `TOKYO Culture Debut'” to provide art and cultural experiences to children.
This activity-based childcare service offers children the opportunity to engage with arts and culture and develop their interests and sensibilities, whilst enabling parents and guardians to enjoy exhibitions with a peace of mind.
Organized and operated by M-BUDDY Japan Co., Ltd.
We provide childcare for visitors attending the exhibitions: “Eric Carle: Art, Books, and the Caterpillar”, “(UN)KNOWN HIROKO KOSHINO” or “MOT Collection”.
Eligibility: Those who have a ticket for either ”Eric Carle: Art, Books, and the Caterpillar”, “(UN)KNOWN HIROKO KOSHINO“ or “MOT Collection”
*Holders of invitation tickets, MOT PASSPORT and disability certificates are also eligible.
Price: 500 yen (including tax)
*Please pay M-BUDDY Japan in advance. They will provide payment instructions after the reservation is confirmed.
*You must also present a valid exhibition ticket for the day. Click here to purchase official online tickets.
Tickets cannot be canceled or changed after purchase (except for date- and time-specific tickets for the ”Eric Carle: Art, Books, and the Caterpillar”).
Please note that during busy periods, there may be a wait to purchase tickets at the museum ticket counter, and same-day ticket sales may close.
User Guide:
This childcare service with cultural activities includes programs such as art workshops, read-aloud storytelling concerts, movement-based play, and light play in a sensory environment inspired by Snoezelen.
Ages: Children between 0 and 12 years old
Dates: May 24; June 2 – 12; July 5
Hours: May 24; June 6–7; July 5, 10 AM to 5 PM
June 2 – 5 and 9 – 12, 12:30 to 4:30 PM
*Up to 4 hours, including drop-off and pick-up time.
*No extensions or changes to reservations are allowed.
What to bring: Drinks (ex. milk, water), changing clothes, diapers, and hand towel
*Baby food cannot be brought in. Snacks and meals are not provided. Please inquire for details at the time of reservation.

About cancellation:
For cancellations made within one week of the date of use, the childcare fee (500 yen) will not be refunded.
Other notices:
- Reservations can be made in English, but please note that childcare will be provided mainly in Japanese.
