[Choreographies of the Everyday] 28 Oct–3 Nov | Performance Loitering Meeting by Imashuku Mew, Soh Souen, Takahashi Riko, Takahashi Rin, and Yamada Hibiki
The museum will host the performance Loitering Meeting by artists Imashuku Mew, Soh Souen, Takahashi Riko, Takahashi Rin, and Yamada Hibiki, all of whom are participating in the exhibition Choreographies of the Everyday.
This collaborative project brings together five artists specifically for this occasion to reimagine the museum as a place “to gather”—where people, bodies, and thoughts intersect. The artists, each usually working independently, will lead and collaborate with one another, creating dialogues and improvisational performances throughout the museum for a seven-day period.
Through Loitering Meeting, the artists attempt to capture fleeting moments of gathering that emerge in the space by incorporating coincidence and improvisation into acts of wandering. They will weave together relationships with the space as they respond to the museum’s physical and institutional characteristics, as well as the audience’s behavior.

*Performances held during the period are scheduled to be documented by still photography and video, which will later be included in the collection of archives. From 28 October to 1 November, each artist will rotate daily to develop their own methods and perspectives followed by a collective performance by all members. On 2 and 3 November these elements will converge into a collaborative performance by the entire group.
