Open Call for Video Participants | Karel van Laere Contact
Karel van Laere, an artist participating in the exhibition Choreography of the Everyday, will present the participatory performance Contact from September 13 to 15.
We are seeking participants for a pre-shoot of video material to be used in this performance. If you are interested, please see the details below and join us.
About the Work
This work focuses on spontaneous moments of “contact” that arise in public spaces, exploring how our bodies connect with others. Participants’ hands will be filmed in sequence and projected onto a monitor, revealing unconscious gestures and the sensation of being with someone in everyday life. Through this, the work invites us to reconsider the value of human connections and moments of touch, and to envision new forms of shared embodiment.
