minä perhonen / minagawa akira TSUZUKU

minä perhonen ("minä" from 1995 to 2003) is a fashion and textile brand founded by designer Akira Minagawa (1967-). The brand's creations are made through close communication with the production region under the concept of "special ordinary clothing" possessing creative, universal values wearable for many years. This exhibition will explore Minagawa and minä perhonen's thinking and practice taking as its core the production of value for both the maker and user, and consider the meaning of producing in our times and the relationship between design and society.
