Hans Haacke

This is the first major retrospective in Asia of Hans Haacke (b. 1936, Cologne, Germany), a central figure who steered the Conceptual Art movement, which unfolded in 1960s New York, toward critical inquiry into systems where power, economics, and culture are intricately intertwined. From environmental issues to the pursuit of political and corporate power, this exhibition serves as a comprehensive overview of Haacke’s practice and its contemporary significance through a wide range of historical works and projects.
