Artist
Imashuku Mew
Born in 2000. Based in Tokyo.
Active across the fields of poetry, performance and media arts, they explore the theme of integration of the self, beginning with a broadly-defined sense of tactile perceptions (such as heat and pressure, vibrations and unsteadiness), and reconstructing relationships with the other and the environment. Their work attempts to open a new pathway for communication through creating measures and circumstances that unsettle the boundaries of the human body, and involve both the self and other people in practice.
