TOKYO WONDER WALL 2014

Tokyo Wonder Wall was launched in May 2000 with the aims of turning the walls of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building into a space for presenting works by young creators, and disseminating cultural wonders to the world. In addition to the Government Building, since 2001, exhibitions have also been held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT).
At last year's exhibition at the MOT, many people came to enjoy the 86 two-dimensional works and 7 three-dimensional/video/installation pieces chosen from a total of 592 entries. In addition, the works of 12 prizewinners in the category of two-dimensional works and 2 prizewinners in the category of three-dimensional/video/installation works have been exhibited in succession in the Government Building, giving visitors fresh stimulus and emotion.
At the same time, Tokyo Wonder Wall is committed to supporting and nurturing young creators. Prizewinners are given the chance to exhibit their works in the Government Building, and selected creators are given the opportunity to participate in exhibitions at Tokyo Wonder Site.
Once again this year, vital creative activity is sure to emerge as new talents step forward with the support of Tokyo Wonder Site's programs for young artists. And these artists are sure to have a bright future.
