Welcome to the museum! With the help of a little imagination, this white space can be transformed into any and every kind of place--the coast of a south sea island; a family living room; a children's kingdom; the town in which we live... This year's summer holiday exhibition for children will present works by four artists and artist groups that provide entrances to 'other places' within the museum galleries. They can be said to represent intersections between 'society' and 'self'. We would like you to stand in the spaces and ask 'whose place is this?' As you search for the answer, you'll find yourself confronted with the various problems we need to consider in order to live in the future, such as the global environment, education, freedom, etc.
Why not come to the museum during the school holidays with the children and together, try once again to find "our place"?
If "ifs" and "buts" were colors and shapes,There'd be no need for museums(plotter Kenjiro Okazaki)
